Logitech g432 gaming headset4/2/2023 ![]() It doesn't get overly sibilant, but it picks up breathing and strong exhalation when speaking easily. ![]() The boom mic is sensitive and flexible, letting voice chat come through fairly clearly. It's still a nice touch, especially for first-person games, but not vital. Like all simulated surround sound in gaming headsets, the effect only works for directional audio across the left, right, and center it doesn't provide any sense of audio sources being in front of or behind you like a dedicated surround sound speaker system can. The effect is subtle in Doom, but I could get a sense of directional panning when dealing with enemies attacking from multiple directions. The included 7.1-channel USB sound card lets the G433 simulate surround sound with audio processing and mixing between the headset's stereo drivers. The very low frequency bass drops of the music don't get quite the head-rattling force that they do on the A10, but the gunshots and explosions still pack a punch. While most of the music's mix is well-balanced, the ultra low frequency, dubstep-like thumps lack the oppressive force you get on the Astro Gaming A10 at top volumes.ĭoom on PC sounds powerful and dynamic, with Mick Gordon's pounding soundtrack and the over-the-top audio effects coming through clearly. The character dialogue and fighting effects are crisp and clear, but the bass-heavy electronic soundtrack comes through a bit timidly. Tekken 7 on PC sounds fairly powerful on the G433. It also has room for both cables and the extra earpads, but unless you use some method to keep the cables neatly looped (we recommend hook-and-loop strips), you're inviting an annoying tangle every time you pull your headset out. The carrying case is a soft, zip-up pouch that comfortably holds the headset with the earcups folded flat. We would have preferred to see it also feature cloth wrapping and volume control. The mobile-friendly cable is plain rubber and features an inline mic with a single play/pause button. For that use you need to use the shorter 5-foot cable, also included. This cable terminates in a rare five-pole 3.5mm connector designed for use with the USB sound card you shouldn't expect it to work perfectly when plugged into your mobile device or game system of choice. The PC cable is 6.5 feet long and wrapped in cloth, and features an inline remote with volume wheel and mic mute switch. The headset comes with the aforementioned two pairs of earpads and detachable boom mic, plus two cables, a cloth carrying bag, and a 7.1-channel USB sound card. The earcups have a cloth-like exterior to match the grille cloth in front of each 40mm driver. It's available in black, blue, red, or camouflage blue versions, and even the camo one is less eye-catching and explicitly gaming-themed than the Prodigy G231. DesignĬompared with previous Logitech G-series gaming headsets, the G433 looks downright understated. It's a solid value, though it doesn't sound or feel quite as good as the Astro Gaming A10, our Editors' Choice. It also comes with a slew of accessories, and can easily switch from a PC gaming headset to a boom-free pair of headphones for listening to music on the go. The G433 is a $100 headset that works with any audio or gaming device with a 3.5mm port and offers 7.1-channel simulated surround sound for PCs.
